Right now, a primary care physician can graduate medical school, complete a residency, and practice for 30 years without ever learning even the most basic information about diagnosing and treating Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS). No residency has taken ownership of ME/CFS, which means no physicians are being given the tools, training, or community to support ME/CFS patients. Every doctor treating ME/CFS is doing so in isolation.
That's the problem I'm determined to solve.
I'm building a global network of physicians, a web that connects doctors all over the world who are treating ME/CFS patients. Through a monthly newsletter and online community, I'm working to spread new information and keep physicians connected, curious, and learning from each other worldwide.
But first, I have to find the doctors who are willing to show up.
As an ambassador, your goal is simple: point one doctor toward fatigueframework.com.
That's it. I'll take it from there, you just have to get them in the door.
1.
Sign up to receive your free Doctor Appointment Toolkit
A short, print-ready packet you can bring to any appointment. It contains communication aids, a symptom summary, and a list of treatments to discuss.
2.
Share the Toolkit with a doctor you like and trust
Leave the Clinical Resources section of the toolkit with them. You can encourage them to go to fatigueframework.com or just let those who are most curious find it on their own.
3.
Watch for emails from me with new tools & calls to action
As the book nears publication, we'll ask for your recommendations, send you resources and keep you updated on various ways to help the network grow.

About Me

Hi! In case we haven't met yet, let me introduce myself.
My name is Dr. Katie Brown. I am a family physician in Terre Haute, Indiana. Like most doctors currently taking a special interest in ME/CFS, I have lived experience. I developed ME/CFS during my first year of medical school in 2014. Because of this, my whole medical career was shaped by my personal experience as a patient.
I learned first hand how difficult it was to find basic medical care when you have ME/CFS. I was lucky enough to have help in getting through school and I eventually achieved remission. I am acutely aware that this was a great gift bestowed upon me by fate, and I could so easily have ended up like any one of my patients — completely disabled, my life shrunk to the size of a pinhole.
In gratitude for my recovery and in solidarity with with ME/CFS patients around the world, I am dedicated to changing the culture of medicine. It is no small feat, but it is one I have dedicated my life to and I will not rest until every ME/CFS patient has access to competent and compassionate medical care.

A practical guide for clinicians ready to defy the status quo.
