ABOUT THE CLINIC
Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is characterized by debilitating fatigue, unrefreshing sleep, and worsening of symptoms after exertion lasting at least 6 months. Many cases of Long COVID meet criteria for ME/CFS. People with ME/CFS are more likely to have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), generalized joint hypermobility and POTS. Dr. Brown treats these complex and often neglected conditions with a practical, patient-centered, multidimensional model of care.
Our Services
Virtual Visits
Almost all of the care provided is done virtually. The patient is not asked to travel to the clinic except to get a physical exam.
Education
As a patient you will learn from a doctor who has lived experience with ME/CFS. Dr. Brown's patients get access to her vast library of written and video educational resources at no additional cost.
Prescriptions
Dr. Brown writes prescriptions for low dose naltrexone, low dose Abilify, low dose tirzepatide and other specialized experimental medications for ME/CFS.
Can I travel from out of state?
Yes. Patients located outside of Dr. Brown's states of licensure (Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky and Minnesota) have the option of traveling to see Dr. Brown for an in-person visit. Dr. Brown cannot follow up with these patients virtually due to legal restrictions. To get this set up, sign up as usual and let Dr. Brown know you are an out of state patient at your New Patient visit.
How much does care cost?
Dr. Brown bills $300 per hour for her time. Appointments are offered for 20 minutes ($100), 30 minutes ($150), or 60 minutes ($300).
Patients may apply for financial hardship status. If accepted, hourly fees drop to $180 per hour.
Fees can be spaced out evenly over several months through a membership fee structure. More information found here.
There is also a $5 enrollment fee to sign up.

To get started, click the Enroll Now button below. There is a $5 enrollment fee to get started.
If you are a caregiver enrolling on behalf of the patient and the patient is too disabled to manage their own medical care, please create an account for yourself first and select the option that says "I am enrolling others, but not myself." Then enroll the patient. This will allow you to schedule appointments and send chat messages on behalf of the patient.
Once signed up you will receive instructions by email on how to download the app. This is optional but helpful since the web-based patient portal does not yet have appointment scheduling.
The first appointment will be 15 minutes long and does not cost anything. The purpose will be to discuss your goals of care, pricing structure, accommodations and how to navigate the clinic. We will not discuss medical topics that first visit so you don’t need to have all of your paperwork finished by then, just your financial hardship application if applicable. Forms will not be sent out until you schedule this appointment.
You can schedule the New Patient Appointment yourself through your app. If you do not want to use the app you will need to request appointments via the chat feature instead. Please include your availability when you request an appointment.
After you schedule your first appointment, you will be sent forms to fill out via email. They can also be accessed from your web browser on the patient portal: https://patient.sigmamd.com.
